Susie has been with Hands & Hearts since 2011, when she started as a volunteer! She became a PATH Intl. Registered Level Instructor in 2014 and has been teaching at HHH ever since! Susie comes from a military family and lived all over the world. She attended Florida State University in 2004 and graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science. When not at HHH, she loves hanging out with her dogs and riding at her hunter/jumper barn in Tallahassee.

Jilynn began volunteering at HHH in August of 2019 and then became a weekend feeder in October. Jilynn worked hard towards her goal of becoming an Instructor and her dream came true in September of 2020 when she became a PATH Intl. Registered Level Instructor and began her career with HHH. Jilynn has been married to Brian for 15 years, and they have two tough boys, Harley and Gage. Outside of HHH, Jilynn lives at barrel races, training on barrels with Lynn, or on the soccer fields with her boys.

Stephanie joined our team as the Volunteer Coordinator in 2020, became a PATH Certified Instructor in 2023, and has now moved roles from Volunteer Coordinator to becoming our Social Media & Marketing Coordinator! She is no stranger to the families at HHH. She has been volunteering with Hands & Hearts since 2017 when her two sons, Nolan and Colton, started riding. Stephanie has a love of horses (especially her HHH boyfriend Jagger) and all animals and grew up riding. She loves spending time with her FOUR dogs, Cane, Sabriel, Ashoka, and Chevelle, her cat Dr. Sheldon Cooper, bearded dragon Drogon and taking her boys to the beach or kayaking on the river.

Lynn has been at HHH since 2012! She joined our team as the Barn Manager and then in 2016 became a PATH Intl. Registered Level Instructor! Lynn is happily married to her husband, Gary, and is the proud “NeNe” to her SIX grandchildren! Lynn has a passion for barrel racing, and when she’s not at HHH, you can find her competing with her personal horses! Lynn not only loves therapeutic riding and barrel racing but also roping, donkey penning, and anything else you can do on a horse!

Devyn began volunteering with Hands and Hearts for Horses in 2007. She went on to become a PATH Intl. Registered Level Instructor with us in 2017! She is an instructor extraordinaire and received her ESHML (Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning) Certification in 2023. In addition to teaching a LOT of our mounted lessons she also teaches several our Equine Assisted Learning sessions! She is a great animal lover and has horses, goats, and dogs of her own! She has two children Ryder and Charlie who can often be found volunteering around the barn. Her riders love her fun teaching style and she is an integral part of our team!

Jan White has been a vital part of the Hands & Hearts for Horses’ team as an instructor since 2002. Ms. Jan brings an amazing wealth of knowledge with her, coming from an extensive dressage background that has ranged from training to judging to helping found one of the major dressage associations in the south east. Ms. Jan uses her dressage background to help our more involved clients and our more advanced riders gain the skills to take to local shows. Ms. Jan and her husband, Ernie live on their farm with their Australian Shepherd, and horses, Remmy and Buster.

Caroline and her private therapy service, Red Hills Therapy, serve as a partner organization to provide occupational therapy services at HHH. Caroline has a special place in her heart for HHH as she was a volunteer while she was in college. She graduated from The University of St. Augustine with her Masters of Occupational Therapy and returned a few years later to obtain her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy. After five years at TMH outpatient pediatrics, Caroline left to pursue her growing private practice. Caroline has been incorporating hippotherapy (the use of horses in therapy) for over three years now. Caroline and her husband George love to hunt in their downtime and have two fur babies, Willie and Rain.

Martha is one of the founding members of the Hands & Hearts for Horses team. Martha is a nurse practionner and currently works in pediatrics. Martha grew up showing Tennessee Walking Horses with her family and still rides to this day! Martha currently donates her time, with the help of her husband Michael, to working with a more involved client on Saturdays. Martha also serves on the board of directors. When she’s not working, Martha and her family love to be outside running or kayaking!

Michael was part of the crucial team that helped to start Hands & Hearts. Michael is married to Martha, the daughter of Terrell, and lives on the property. Michael is a physical therapist and he frequently advises our staff with more involved clients, as well assess new program horses’ movement to ensure that they will be the best fit for our clients. Michael has also served as a board member and is helping to establish new programming. Michael and Martha have three children and two grandchildren, who live in Africa.

Kaitlyn joined our team as an intern from ABAC in 2022. After graduation, she came on as our equine facility and support coordinator helping take care of our many equine partners as well as keeping order in the barn. When Kaitlyn is not taking care of our horses, she’s taking care of other horses and pet sitting! Kaitlyn is a dog and cat mom!

Bree is a long time rider and volunteer in our program and we were so excited to have her join our staff as a feeder and barn assistant in 2023! Bree started riding at HHH when she was 6 years old, she took to riding like a fish to water. Bree also loves to dance and do any kind of art!!
