Hands & Hearts for Horses is hosting an instructor training certification sanctioned by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) at our riding center in Thomasville, GA, September 1-4, 2020. We are so excited to welcome back the expertise of PATH International faculty and educators Sandy Webster. With over thirty years’ experience in the industry, her wealth of knowledge will give each candidate invaluable insight and a "leg up" in this growing field.
Candidates will be tested on their knowledge in working with individuals with varying disabilities, while understanding the mechanics and influence that a horse's movement has on building core strength and balance in their clients. The participants will be tested on skills needed to teach those who have intellectual and physical challenges, building lesson plans and meeting rider goals and objectives. Additionally they will be analyzing horses and their suitability for use in a program. A large emphasis is placed on safety and best practices for both the riders and the horses.
If you are interested in learning more about PATH Intl., therapeutic riding and what it takes to become a therapeutic riding instructor, AUDITORS are welcome for the workshop portion. The fee per participant for auditing is $75 for two and a half days.
