1 Day; 10 People; 36 Acres
We have a 36 acre farm to maintain, and the horses don’t help with that task nearly as much as they think they do. Between 18 horses and Mother Nature, property upkeep for a large farm is no small feat! Tree limbs go down in storms, horses will accidentally break fencing, and the list goes on. We had a BIG cleanup day this past Monday, and it could not have been done in one (busy) day without the help of some hard working volunteers! Everybody came out and spend all morning with us, and we are so proud of how our happy barn looks.
Cleaning out bigger sticks and branches in the pastures keep our horses safe!
ALLLLL morning, we had volunteers everywhere! We had volunteers cleaning out the arenas, repainting cabinets and walls in the barn, cleaning out the classroom, and we cleaned out our equipment shed. We also had a team going around and fixing up fence lines- clearing brush off and patching up different places.
Volunteer Cheryl hard at work in the front arena, making it clean and level!
The barn looks like we just moved in! What a perfect way to end this year, and give us a clean slate to start lessons back up in January! Property maintenance is hard work, but, with a few friends, and pizza for lunch, it can also be fun!
THANK YOU ALL (AGAIN) FOR YOUR HELP! Now- it’s time to get ready for our spring session lessons!
