Joslin is our volunteer spotlight of the month for April!

Joslin is both a volunteer and rider with our program! She has become a fixture at Hands and Hearts and can be seen helping out around the barn, in lessons, summer camps, and at our events! She is always willing to learn new things from our staff and just completed our Tier 2 Advanced Volunteer Orientation! We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her as a part of our Hands and Hearts for Horses family!

  • What motivated you to volunteer at Hands and Hearts for Horses?

    • My mom and Chris found out about the program and motivated me to come volunteer.

  • Do you have a Hands and Hearts for Horses moment you can share? (Funny, heartwarming, meaningful, memorable, favorite, etc)

    • All the funny, heartwarming good times!

  • What's one piece of advice you would give a new volunteer?

    • Listen to staff, listen to instructions, have fun, ask questions, and don’t make the same mistakes that I have over the years.

  • How long have you been volunteering with Hands and Hearts for Horses?

    • Not sure how long, but at least since 2021!

  • Who is your favorite horse at Hands and Hearts for Horses and why?

    • My favorite horse is Chancy because he is very sweet and kind (when he wants to be).
